Nursing in comfort

I received some products from Bravado Designs and let me just say, I am in love.  Coming home from the hospital after having Alana, comfort was something so important on the road to recovery after delivery.  I made nursing a major focus and goal of mine during my entire pregnancy and was determined to have a better nursing experience this time around.

On day two in the hospital, I felt ready to quit.  My milk hadn't come in yet and Alana was nursing for up to an hour every 2 hours.  I was in so much pain and felt like I couldn't handle another nursing session.  I broke down in tears at 3 in the morning and told the nurse I didn't want to be a failure and that the pain was too much to handle.  She assured me that I could do it and that maybe if I pumped and gave myself a small break, I'd feel better once my milk came in.  I was able to syringe feed Alana and push through the pain at the next feeding.

Fast forward to my second day home and Alana's relentless ability to nurse had paid off because my milk had finally come in!  I felt so relieved and proud that I pushed through the moments of discomfort.

The very next day, a package arrived with the Bravado Design's Body Silk Seamless Nursing Cami and Body Silk Seamless Yoga Nursing Bra.   Both products are extremely comfortable and very flattering.  I had older nursing bras from my last pregnancy and they do not compare in the level of comfort and quality of the Bravado products.  My older bras lost their shape easily and the Bravado Designs maintains a sleekness while still offering comfort.

I'm so glad I can look and feel good while nourishing my baby girl!  You can visit their website here or check them out on Instagram here.

  1. I am 5'8'', 130 lbs, and wear a 32-D bra, and I am happy with the size I chose. I would have worried about the figs scrubs being kind of tight and short if I would've went any smaller.
