I'm 37 weeks pregnant today! I can't believe my baby girl could come any day now. I had my 37 week check up yesterday and everything has gone so well with my pregnancy and I feel very fortunate.
My Husband and I attended a birthing class last weekend and had a wonderful experience. A lot of my anxiety about child birth has subsided. Being educated and knowing all of the potential scenarios on what could happen that day has given me peace. I highly recommend this class to any first time Moms! It's a great bonding experience for you and your Husband as well. I feel completely ready to do this! I learned to throw all birthing plans out the door, which can be hard for a type A personality like myself. I am still hoping to have a natural childbirth with no epidural. I hope God gives me the strength! Luckily, I'll have my Mom and Husband by my side as a support. Either way, the only thing that matters is that we have a happy and healthy baby.
I'm still working full-time and plan on continuing until the baby arrives. I'd rather have my 12 week leave once baby girl is here! It's not easy working long hours with this big belly. I am very sleep deprived from constant bathroom breaks and luckily my restless leg hasn't been bothering me every night like it was a few weeks ago. I may be challenged physically, but I feel mentally and emotionally better than ever!
I have never felt so lucky and blessed in my life as I do right now knowing that I will be meeting my daughter so very soon. I thank God every day for blessing me and my Husband. I can't wait to love her with all of my heart and teach her to be a faithful little person. I know that my Husband is going to be the best Daddy ever and I can't believe we've created this little person inside of me. What a miracle.
It's getting hard to dress this big bump. So as you can see, cardigans have been a must for me. I can't believe how much weight I've gained (fingers crossed I'll lose it easily), but it'll all be worth it to have a healthy baby. I just can't get over what a woman's body is capable of. It truly is fascinating.
