A rose that grew from the concrete.

Normally, I fill my blog with tips on how to save money on fashion and beauty trends.  Although I love fashion and beauty, it does not define me.  Today, I decided to open up about my personal experiences.

In life, we are all faced with judgmental people and negativity.  Our society thrives off of this exact idea.  Who is thinner, who is more beautiful, who has the most money?  With strength and courage, I've learned to not let judgmental people stand in the way of my happiness.  And maybe that is why certain people feel the need to be so opinionated on my life.

Being confident on the outside is a wonderful thing, and that is why I try to help people with these tips I post on my blog.  I do feel strongly that feeling beautiful on the outside can help build your confidence on the inside.  However, having internal beauty and faith is something that will stay with you throughout your whole life and is a true testament to who you are.

So before judging others, remember that we all have fought our own battles to get to where we are today. In our society, it seems to be much easier to tear someone down than it is to lift someone up.  It all goes back to the old saying: "If you don't have anything nice to say, then don't say it."  So I challenge you all - to compliment rather than criticize.  To love rather than hate.  And to have faith and support, rather than be cynical.

And remember, even a beautiful rose can grow from the concrete.
